What happiness have you created because you love yourself?
My way of painting. In the beginning I always painted for other people, keeping in mind that ‘they’ would like it. Eventually I was sick of painting for others. So I said to myself ‘Let’s just paint what I’m feeling to paint, and if they don’t like it, then so be it’.
From that moment my work really started to represent myself. This is what truly makes me happy.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Nature and flowers are a big inspiration for me. I have an obsession with flowers.
I also love to collect stones, normal stones, from different places around the whole world. And masks, from different cultures.
Who is your biggest inspiration? Who are you looking up to?
Women who are multitasking. For example a mother who can combine everything with her job. These are strong women, these women I look up to.
What is still a goal you want to achieve?
I would like to publish a book with al my art works in it, a collaboration with a big fashion brand and exhibit my works in a museum, till now I only did exhibitions in galleries.
My boyfriends works at a dredger, I would like to live at a ship like that for a month and make portraits of the life of those mariners.
